MirrorWalker was the first comic book ever to combine cartoons with special effects photography throughout the issue. The concept and the main character, Alan Nonsense, were created by Barry Daniel Petersen who approached Chicago-based, award winning photographer Erich Schrempp to give the production the unique graphic edge he was looking for.

The name Alan Nonsense was a tribute to the Lewis Carroll
