The Ministry of Health is responsible for policy direction, sets and monitors standards, provides funding, supporting the regional health authorities and provincial health services.

Deputy Minister's Office

The Deputy Minister's Office includes three branches: (1) Communications Branch; (2) Quality and Process Improvement Branch and (3) Saskatchewan Surgical Initiative. The other divisions of the ministry also report to the Deputy Minister.

Community & Primary Health Division

Assistant Deputy Minister: Lauren Donnelly.

This division has responsibility for:
  • Population Health,

Strategy and Performance Management Division

Assistant Deputy Minister: Max Hendricks.

This division has responsibility for the:
  • Financial Services Branch
  • Health Information Solutions Centre
  • Health Registration Services Branch
  • Medical Services Branch
  • Public Service Commission - Human Resources Team
  • Risk and Relationship Management Branch
  • Strategic Planning Branch
