Ministry of Citizen Protection (Greece)

The Ministry of Citizen Protection is a government department of Greece
responsible for the running of the country's security services, i.e. the Hellenic Police, the Hellenic Fire Service, the Hellenic Coast Guard
, the Greek Agrarian Police, the Secretariat for Civil Defense, and the National Intelligence Service. The current minister is Christos Papoutsis
.
The ministry was established in 2009 and is a revival of the old Ministry of Public Order , which had been merged with the Ministry of the Interior in 2007 and reduced to a General Secretariat within the Ministry of the Interior and Public Order.
