The Ministry of the Interior is a government department of Greece
. Occasionally the office has been combined with that of the Ministry for Public Order. From 7 October 2009 it was known as the Ministry of the Interior, Decentralization and Electronic Governance (Υπουργείο Εσωτερικών, Αποκέντρωσης και Ηλεκτρονικής Διακυβέρνησης), until the splitting off of a new Ministry of Administrative Reform on 17 June 2011. The current minister is Anastasios Giannitsis.
