http://boe.rand.k12.wv.us/education/school/school.php?sectionid=41 opened around 1923. Additions like the gymnasium and the annex were added throughout the 1950s and 1970s. The old section of the school was partially torn down to one story and annexed with a new section in 2001. The school is currently serving 580 students (including both middle and high school), and is run by about 40 faculty members and 11 supported personnel. TVHS's colors are red and white, and they have a bulldog mascot. The school is currently run by former gym teacher Steve Wamsley (as of 2007), taking over the last principal Wilbert Smith.
