Mihkel and two partners formed the fledgling production entity in 1992 and it proceeded to continually grow in the music video arena winning more Much Music Video awards than all of its competitors and producing over 500 videos including hits from numerous A-list talent. Education

Mihkel started his education at Trinity College School, where he graduated in 1985. Currently he is a chairman of the TCS Alumni Association. He then went to Trinity College/University of Toronto where he got a BA in History in 1989. He then got his CPM from I.R.E.M.(Institute of Real Estate Management), and his FPI and CRF from R.E.I.C. (The Real Estate Institute of Canada). He also wrote two books.

Mihkel also is an active environmentalist who owns a self sustainable farm, as well as running an investment real estate business focused on redevelopment properties including the low income facility and in Port Hope, ON known as The Tower Hotel.

Personal life

Mihkel had two children Hannah Rowan Harilaid (HRH) and Silas Harilaid with Amy Barrie. Among his many interests are diving, sustainable farming and horses.

Green Party Candidate

Mihkel was the Green Party Candidate in the 2008 and 2011 federal elections in Ajax-Pickering.
