. The engine was inclined downwards 25° to make room for the transmission under the rear cylinder and the radiator above the front cylinder. The unique engine design was chosen to give the bike a distinct personality and differentiate it from any other motorcycle on the market. The design of the bike was by motorcycle designer Glynn Kerr. The Midys had hoped to market the bike as a Douglas, but could not secure the worldwide rights to the name and used the name Midual instead. A non-running prototype was built, but sufficient funding could not be found and the project was abandoned.
