Michigan MAC Trophy

The Michigan MAC Trophy is given to the Michigan Mid-American Conference
(MAC) university – Central Michigan University
(CMU), Eastern Michigan University
(EMU) and Western Michigan University
(WMU) – which defeats the other two schools in the same sport in the same regular season.
There are two separate trophies, one for football and the other for basketball.
In the event that no school defeats its other two rivals during the regular season (which happened in 2008 with the football trophy), the Michigan MAC Trophy will remain with the winning school until one of the other rivals claims the title.
Eastern Michigan currently holds the football trophy and Western Michigan has the basketball version.
