Michele Yvette "Missy" Avila (February 8, 1968 – October 1, 1985) was an American teenager who was murdered by her best friend, Karen Severson and another friend, Laura Doyle in Arleta, California. In 1990, Severson and Doyle were convicted of Avila's murder, and sentenced to 15 years to life in prison.
