Doyle is also interested in Movie Theatre History, Advertising, and Architecture. He is a consultant and lecturer on historical Hollywood films, theatres and memorabilia. He is working for Loeks Theatres, hosting the classic film series at their Lansing, Michigan theatres.

He has published four books:
