Metron Aviation is a provider of Air Traffic Management (ATM) products and services for the global aviation industry, including: Air Traffic Flow Management (ATFM), concept engineering, advanced research, software development, surface operations management, airspace design and environmental analysis. Metron Aviation fuses advanced science, mathematics and ATM to provide Collaborative Decision Making (CDM) solutions for the Air Navigation Service Providers (ANSP), airports, airlines and other stakeholders.

Founded in 1995, Metron Aviation pioneered the advancement of ATFM research and is recognized today for deploying and supporting ATFM systems. Flight Schedule Monitor (FSM), deployed system-wide in 1999, is an integral part of traffic management for the FAA’s Air Traffic Control System Command Center (ATCSCC) and over 100 other FAA facilities, as well as NAV CANADA and 24 domestic and international airlines. Metron Aviation’s ATFM solutions incorporate a comprehensive understanding of system-wide interdependent events and delivered significant results, saving more than 54 million minutes of delays, 148 million liters of fuel, 455 thousand metric tons of CO2 emissions and approximately U.S. $5 billion in operating costs. Other customers include Airservices Australia, South Africa’s ATNS, Delta Airlines, FedEx, Memphis International Airport and many more.
