The founder and chief executive officer of the firm is Amy Pritchard, an attorney who lives in northern California. She had experience in after-school programs at an elementary school and as a forum moderator as well as litigation experience. She founded the firm in 2007 after noticing a lack of interesting activities at locations on Second Life

Hanging out with friends with moderation experience at The Thirsty Tiger, a virtual bar on Second Life, she engaged Mike Pinkerton, the creator of the bar who signed on as chief operating officer of the new firm which originally undertook to staff sites created on Second Life for corporations and to offer web forum moderation services.
