Tree description

Medium size evergreen tree.Endemic to tropical rain forests.It is not can be found in natural forests & last time report between 1900 & 1950.
There are several trees in Peradeniya garden [Sri Lanka].

Uses

Mesua stylosa wood is Reddish Brown caller & it is very strong,hard & heavy.It use for building constriction.
