The Mercantile Marine Academy or Bangladesh Marine Academy is a marine academy in Chittagong
, Bangladesh
. It is the only university of its kind in the country and was established in 1962. The academy is situated overlooking the Bay of Bengal
from the hill tops of Juldia on the east bank of the Karnafuli River, about 20 kilometres south of the Chittagong city.
The academy has also been recognized as one of the branches of the World Maritime University
( WMU ), Malmo

- Pre-Sea Marine Engineering - 2 years in the Academy (Phase – I), 6 months at Sea (Phase-II), and 6 months in the Academy (Phase-III)
- Bachelor of Maritime Science (Nautical) degree course – 2 years in the academy under National University (Simultaneously with the Pre-Sea Nautical Studies)
- Bachelor of Maritime Science (Engineering) degree course – 2 years in the academy under National University (Simultaneously with the Pre-Sea Marine Engineering [Phase-I])
