Menora is home to a large Jewish community, the heart of which is the Perth Hebrew Congregation

The exclusive Alexander Park Tennis Club hosts, amongst other events, the Western Australian Tennis Championships. In the 2001 census, Menora had a median age of 45, and 37% of its population were over 60 years of age. This is due to a high concencentration of retirement villages in the district.
