Mehdi Saeedi

Mehdi Saeedi, Iran. He studied graphic design in the Art Academy and afterwards majored in Art and Design at England’s Cambridge University.

In 1998 he opened his private studio working with some of the most prominent cultural centers in Iran such as Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art, Academy of Art, music centers and the film industry, etc.

He has participated in numerous domestic and international exhibitions, biennials and triennials around the world and has won several important prizes both locally and internationally among which are:

Grand Prix, Exhibition of Visual Arts, Tehran, Iran, 1998 & 1999

Diploma of Honor, Poster Design Competition: "Book, Children and the Family", Iran, 2003

Special Award, First Book Cover Design Exhibition in the 16th Tehran International Book, 2004

Special Award, 7th International Biennial of the Poster, Mexico, 2002

First Prize, First International Biennial of the Islamic World Poster, Tehran 2004

Third Prize, "Fourth Block", 6th International Triennial of Eco Posters and Graphics Art, Kharkov, Ukraine, 2006

Award of the President of the Self-Governing Region, 6th Trnava International Poster Triennial, Slovakia, 2006

Grand prize, Taiwan International Poster Design Award, Taiwan, 2007

Top award, 15th International Invitational Poster, Colorado, USA, 2007

Honorable mentions, the 2nd International Socio-Political Poster Biennial, Poland, 2008

Grand prize, "Five stars Designers banquet" International Invitational Poster Triennial 2009.

His works have been published in reputable international magazines and books and exhibited and kept in collections, galleries and museums around the world.

He organized the selected 5th Generation Iranian Graphic Designers Exhibition in 2006 and has bren a jury member for many local and international Competitions and exhibitions. He is also a member of the Iranian Graphic Design society (IGDS) and has taught in the universities in Iran since 2005.
