Megan Sylvester

Megan Sylvester is a synchronised diver. She was born in Barnsley on 4 July 1994. Her current height is 1.54 m tall and she weighs 40 kg. Her team is city of Sheffield and her coach is Adam Sotheran. Megan Sylvester began diving in 2002 at the age of eight following her older brother.

International record

In her international competitions she has won one bronze and one silver, sadly getting three 4th, one 8th, one 6th and one 10th. On the other hand in her domestic events she got four golds, one silver, one 10th and lastly one 4th.

As a junior she showed great skills by winning all three platform events at the British junior nationals. She has progressed very quickly and won silver at at the junior european championships platform final in 2008 following with a 4th place finish at the junior world championships later that year. In 2009 she teamed up with Monique Gladding and won 6th place at the senior world championships in the synchro event the same year.

Megan Sylvester's dream has always been to win a gold medal on home soil in 2012 at the london olympics. Her greatest achievement she thinks is winning silver at the european juniors in 2008 and finishing 4th at the 2008 world juniors. Her greatest influences are her Mum, Dad, her brother James, and her coach Adam who is always there for her to give her advice and to point her in the right direction. In her family there is not just one brilliant diver but two, Megan and her brother James. Megan also does gymnastics as well as diving. her ultimate relaxation is listening to music and her tip for the top is train hard enjoy what you do and keep smiling.
Many people would think that megan wouldn't have the same things that any other girl would have because she is into diving but, in fact, she has many things that girls have like facebook, twitter and many other things.
