His younger brother HaRav Naftali HaLevi ascended to the position of Chief Rabbi of Congregation Beth Pinchas in Brookline, MA, upon R' Mayer's establishment of the Har Nof community. In 2009, R' Naftali succeeded his father as the Bostoner Rebbe of Boston, MA.
