Defederico is a fast, left-footed player with very good dribbling ability.

His professional debut for Huracán was on 18 August 2007 in a 0-0 home draw with Tigre. In the Clausura 2009 championship De Federico established himself as a regular first team player for the club under the management of Ángel Cappa. Defederico and teammate Javier Pastore
