Maserati is very enthusiastic about their new unveiled model and wrote that "with the birth of every new Maserati car, Maserati itself is reborn."

The engines will be produced by Chrysler and by Ferrari.

2003 concept car

Already in 2003, Maserati had presented a concept car called Maserati Kubang. It had not been put into production.
