María Cristina "Marita" Perceval (b. September 10, 1956, Mendoza, Argentina
) is an Argentine
politician and member of the Justicialist Party
. She is currently serving as Subsecretary for Institutional Reform and Strengthening of Democracy, a department depending of the Cabinet Chief. She is a former Senator for Mendoza Province
and was part of the majority Front for Victory
parliamentary group.
Perceval is the daughter of Julio Perceval, a musician and founder of the music department of the National University of Cuyo
(UNCuyo), and Alejandrina Suárez, the first female organist in Argentina. She graduated in philosophy in 1980 at UNCuyo and began a career in academia and public administration, as university professor and coordinating proyects for the provincial governments of Mendoza and Buenos Aires Province

Perceval followed other left-wing Peronists
