The Maryland Bayraiders was a professional basketball team in the National Professional Basketball League
based in Gwynn Oak, Maryland
. A few of the teams in the NPBL left and joined the EBA (Eastern Basketball Alliance) at the end of the 2008 season. The 2009 season never was played. Initially the league's plan was to move the season to the fall and winter during the more traditional basketball season, but the season was never played. Both the league's and team's websites are no longer active and there has been no additional information on if and when the league will continue.
