, where he is now one of three Life Vice Presidents. He was formerly a Conservative councillor for the West Bridgford West division of Nottinghamshire County Council from 1993, serving as Deputy Leader of the Conservative group, until retiring at the 2009 elections. Martin was then appointed as Hon. Alderman in July 2009.
