Overview

Marshall School is located on the East Canal road in Dehradun.The founder of the school Late Mr Francis Russell Marshall, A British educationist. He was very reputed person in the field of education . Mr Marshall founded Marshall School in 1967. He had a vision to create quality education system in Dehradun valley. He being the product of the British Public School systems and a close friend of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, Mr Marshall wanted the school to set up on the lines of Public Schools to suite the Indian conditions. For him education was a passion. Marshall School still follows his way of learning. For that reason, he found Dehradun to be an ideal place, where he made a humble start with only five students. Dehradun being a in the solitude of lower Himalayas was an ideal place for a nurturing educational environment.

Culture

The school organizes many events for integrated development of students. FR Marshall School debate competition is one. It attracts students from around the valley and north India to participate in that historic event every year. The school has four houses
  • Blue (Ashoka)
  • Green (Shivaji)
  • Yellow (Azad)
  • Red (Pratap)


Every year these four houses compete among themselves to win different sport events,competitions and overall academics. The school organizes painting competitions,debates,sports and other activities on campus.School Headboy and Headgirl are chosen every year.

Facilities

Marshall School is Residential boarding school. N.C.C (National Cadet Corps) training is available on campus. The school has a well equipped computer lab.The senior and Junior campus are separate.

Sports

Regular sporting events as Athletics,Basketball,Cricket,Badminton,Hockey,Volleyball,Football,Tennis,Gymnastics etc are organised in the school. The campus of the school can support these events. Professional sport coaches help students to perform well. Marshall school has shown remarkable performance during district sport events at Doon School.
