Overview
Marshall School is located on the East Canal road in Dehradun.The founder of the school Late Mr Francis Russell Marshall, A British educationist. He was very reputed person in the field of education . Mr Marshall founded Marshall School in 1967. He had a vision to create quality education system in Dehradun valley. He being the product of the British Public School systems and a close friend of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, Mr Marshall wanted the school to set up on the lines of Public Schools to suite the Indian conditions. For him education was a passion. Marshall School still follows his way of learning. For that reason, he found Dehradun to be an ideal place, where he made a humble start with only five students. Dehradun being a in the solitude of lower Himalayas was an ideal place for a nurturing educational environment.Culture
The school organizes many events for integrated development of students. FR Marshall School debate competition is one. It attracts students from around the valley and north India to participate in that historic event every year. The school has four houses- Blue (Ashoka)
