To date he has produced and directed Serious Jungle (2002), Serious Desert (2003), Serious Arctic (2004), Serious Amazon (2005), Serious Andes (2006), and Serious Ocean (2008).
Marshall is also the author of a book to accompany the Serious adventures: 'Serious Survival: How to Poo in the Arctic and other essential tips' (foreword by Bruce Parry).

In addition he has written or co-written several other children's factual books.
