Prior to joining Linfield, he had a very successful four year spell at Larne, scoring the winning goal in the 2005 Irish Cup semi final against Ballymena United and featuring in the final against Portadown, a game Larne lost 5-1 after taking a first minute lead through Neil Ogden. He was released from Crusaders in the summer of 2010. Soon after being released from Crusaders he signed for close city rivals Donegal Celtic F.C. on a free transfer.
