Espinoza played Mexican Police Detective, Alberto Aguilar, on "The Young and the Restless" investigating the possible role of Victor Newman in a death that occurred in Mexico.

After training at the prestigious Circle in The Square Theatre School in New York City he went on to perform in a number of Award-Winning regional theatres such as The Goodman Theatre in Chicago, The Old Globe in San Diego and many others before settling in Los Angeles. His cabaret work includes a variety of New York venues, as well as the International Theatre of Frankfurt (Germany) and The Frankfurt Opera House.

He is sometimes credited as Mark D. Espinoza.
