The SRBOC can also be fitted with the TORCH infrared "flare" decoy system. A typical ship's load is 20 to 35 rounds per launcher.
As of 2010, the Mk. 36 SRBOC is used by 19 navies around the world. It is similar to the NATO Sea Gnat system.
