El Mariposario is a large outdoors vivarium
which forms part of the Jardin Botánico del Quindío (Botanical Garden of Quindío), located in the town of Calarcá in the department of Quindío, Colombia
. It contains more than 1200 species of butterflies native to Colombia, housed inside a butterfly-shaped structure of 640 m2.
The Botanical Gardens opened in 1985, and are open to the public from 09:00 to 17:00 hrs.
