Maran or Maric is a branch of the Pama–Nyungan family of Australian languages, one accepted by Dixon. Maric languages are:

Ngura was once lumped in with the Karnic branch
of Pama–Nyungan. There is not enough data to classify it any confidence, and it may be Maric.
