. They got 5th Place on the first leg, 9th Place on the second leg, 6th Place on both the 3rd and 4th legs, 1st Place on the 5th leg. On the 6th leg, Marcus revealed that the couple have four children and that their youngest daughter has a developmental disability. The couple came in last on the 6th leg but stayed in the race when the host revealed that it was a non-elimination leg. Due to their last-place finish on the previous leg, the 7th leg included a Speed Bump task which only they had to perform which the couple completed a slide-puzzle of the Malawi national flag, and then they ended the 7th leg in 4th Place and avoided elimination. On the 8th leg, the married couple end the leg in 4th Place, making them one of the five teams left in the race. On the 9th leg, Amani and Marcus finish in 1st Place, but Phil told them that they need to continue racing to the next leg. On the 10th leg, the married couple end the leg in 4th Place and they are one of the final four teams left in the race.
