Maqtal al-Husayn is a book which narrates the story of battle of Karbala

Maqtal

Monographic works, which recount the death of revered individuals, were composed in large numbers during the eighth and ninth centuries and even today among Muslims are defined as Maqtal.(Robinson,2003:34)
