Biography
Born in Cuba on April 16, 1957, Manuel Alvarez was the oldest son of a middle income, Christian family. He came to the United States during the Cuban Revolution. He was separated from his family as a young boy when he was sent to the United States to live with a foster family through an outreach program while his father was placed in a Cuban prison. After four years, Alvarez was reunited with his family in New York and his father was able to start a business and buy property in Hoboken, New JerseyHoboken, New Jersey
