, Orissa, India. It is located at Lat- 20◦ 14’ 54” N., Long- 85◦ 49’ 95” E and at an elevaton of 74;ft. Previously it was used for worshipping but now it lies abandoned.

Location

It is situated on the left side of the Rath Road branching from Mausima (Ramesvara) temple to Badheibanka Chowk. The temple now stands over the private land of Rabindra Kumar Paramaguru.

History

It is privately owned by Rabindra Kumar Paramaguru. As per Architectural features it was formed in 8th century.

Archiecture

It is a building and typology is Rekha deul.

Surrounding: The temple is surrounded by Paramaguru temple in south at a distance of 6.00 mtrs, shops in west, a well in east and residential buildings in north.

Orientation: The temple is facing towards east.

Architectural features (Plan and Elevation): On plan, the temple has a square vimana that measures 2.20 square mtrs. On elevation, the temple is triratha that measures 4.20 mtrs in height. Pabhaga is buried, jangha 1.00 mtrs, gandi 3.00 mtrs, mastaka 0.20 mtrs. The amalaka stone has broken.

  • Door Jambs: Door jambs measure 1.20 mtrs in height x 0.90 mtrs in width.
  • Lintel: Lintel is plain.
  • Building material: Grey sand stone.

Conservation

State of preservation: It is in a bad state of deterioration.

Condition description: Cracks have developed in all sides of the temple. Pabhaga is buried and the kanika paga has collapsed. The temple is crumbling and nobody is concerned about the monument.

Threats to the property: The temple needs immediate attention as it is in a very bad state of preservation.
