Manby is a village
in the county of Lincolnshire

. Situated approximately five miles (8 km) east of Louth
, the village had a population of 833 at the 2001 Census
.
The only amenity of note in the village
is the post office
, however other amenities - including two schools, the Lancaster Inn (formerly the Manby Arms) public house
and two other village shops - can be found in the adjoining village of Grimoldby
, which is separated from Manby by the B1200 road.
There is also a local scout group called 1st Manby which has been running for 50 years. 1st Manby scouts is the only current scout group in the district to have all scouting
sections, Beavers aged 6–8, Cubs
aged 8–10 and scouts aged 11½–14 and also Explorers, aged 14–18.
Manby is also the location for East Lindsey Fire Protection Services - an independent fire and rescue service that specialises in off road firefighting, event and airport cover down to fire extinguisher

The airfield is home to Lindsey Airsoft providing an opportunity for this new airsoft
sport in Lincolnshire. They regularly use the former airfield for skirmish games.

Since the closure of the airfield, the houses have been sold to the general public and the former RAF station has been sold for commercial use. The headquarters of East Lindsey
District Council are in one of the buildings on the station Tedder Hall. The disused airfield is used as a showground and also a off-road driver training and experience centre. It also has a Chieftain Tank parked in the entrance to the airfield which acts as the gate guardian for the Manby Motorplex centre. Lindsey Airsoft also use the airfield site, holding regular milsim skirmishes and survival exercises. The hangars are used for commercial storage by Winchester Marine Ltd.
In 2008 the RAF site was proposed by East Lindsey district council as a possible location for an eco-town
of 5,000 homes. It appeared on a government shortlist of ten sites, however after protests from residents the council voted to withdraw the plan.
