New Jersey Governors have appointed Borg to several committees including the Comprehensive Health Planning Council, New Jersey Department of Health, and Governor to the State Advisory Board, New Jersey Department of Health (of which he was vice chair), and Health Care Administration Board, New Jersey Department of Health (of which he was chair).

Marriage and children

Borg and his wife, Sandra, have three children, John, Jennifer and Stephen. He appointed Stephen as president in 2001, and Jennifer as vice president and general counsel in 1983.
