The presentation, which became established in a half-hour Saturday-evening time slot, dealt with viewers letters concerning RTÉ TV programmes and broadcasting in general. Murphy has continued to use the Mailbag concept into the 2010s with his regular "E-mail Bag" segments on Today FM
