Facilities

There is a large car park situated on the site. This is to provide a park and ride service for the large catchment area that the station caters for. The car park is also used by visitors from neighbouring county Lancashire

 as the fare increase makes it cheaper to drive to Maghull and travel from there. There is also a taxi rank at the station, toilets, a shelter on the Ormskirk platform and a heated indoor shelter on the Liverpool platform. The manned ticket booth is located in the M to GO shop on the Ormskirk platform and there is an automatic ticket machine on the Liverpool platform.

Future Developments

A new M to Go shop is planned for the station in the near future according to ATOC (the Association of Train Operating Companies
