The Sports and Olympic Committee of Macao, China , or MSOC, is the National Olympic Committee
(NOC) of Macao

Although Macau is not an independent sovereign state
, the territory is allowed to join international organisations that are not restricted to sovereign states. Macau joined the Olympic Council of Asia
(OCA) in 1989, but is still not a member of the International Olympic Committee
(IOC); therefore, it has never fielded a team in any Olympics. The sovereignty of Macau was transferred from Portugal to China, which has continued to allow Macau to participate in international organisations and sporting events under the name "Macau, China." By the date of Sept 10, 2008, it was reformed to the Macau Sports and Olympic Committee instead of Macau Olympic Committee
