History

Leirna was built by Apholdore Shipbuilders, Devon and is operated by SIC Ferries.

She was bought in 1992 and has been running the Bressay Ferry Service since 1992.

Layout

Leirna has a small car deck with an upstairs to a small passenger lounge which has tables and seats. It also has a man and lady-toilet and one small disabled toilet.

Service

Leirna is normally used on the Bressay Ferry Service linking Lerwick on the Shetland Mainland to Maryfield, Bressay. She has been running the service ever since she arrived in 1992. The service takes 10 minutes and operates daily, every 30 minutes.
