        Methylenedioxypyrovalerone (MDPV) is a psychoactive drug
with stimulant
properties which acts as a norepinephrine-dopamine reuptake inhibitor
(NDRI). Reportedly, it has been sold since around 2004 as a designer drug
. It is also known as MDPK, MTV, Magic, Maddie, Black Rob, Super Coke and PV. In 2010 it was reportedly sold as a legal drug alternative.
Incidences of psychological and physical harm have been attributed to MDPV use.
The hydrochloride salt exists as a very fine, hygroscopic, crystalline powder that tends to clump to itself, resembling something like powdered sugar.
