He is also known for his unique way of using guitar effects pedals to create textures and unusual sounds. He wrote the track 'She's Evil' which can be found on the EP Of the Night
and performs vocal parts on the songs 'Last Kiss' Red LP, 'Monotonia' and 'Blue Eyes' which can be found on the singles 'We're Here' and 'Trains to Brazil' respectively.
Most recently, he performed lead vocals on "Me Diz", a b-side from Guillemots' 2008 single, "Get Over It
". Originally, the song was to feature lyrics written by a competition winner but, after listening to the track as an instrumental, drummer Greig Stewart suggested Magrao write Portuguese lyrics for it.
