LA 3245 begins at South Harrells Ferry Road, as an undivided, three lane highway (with a middle turning lane) and continues as such until about a half-mile south of I-12
. At that point, the highway expands to an undivided four-lane highway until just north of the interchange. It then becomes an undivided, two lane highway for the rest of its length; however, it is part of Baton Rouge's Green Light Project to be expanded as a multilane highway for its entire length.
