He served as the head men's soccer coach at the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee from 1996 to 2005. He led the Panthers to a 136-63-17 record during his tenure. He led UW-Milwaukee to five straight NCAA tournament appearances, including 4 straight in which the team made the second round.
