and the older brother of Philippe Gustave le Doulcet

, he fought in the invasion of Russia and the campaign of 1814, and then emigrated to Brazil
, where he took part in the abortive Pernambucan Revolution in 1817.
He also organized a French volunteer contingent in the Belgian Revolution
