Louis Arthur (Skip) Bafalis, (born Boston, Massachusetts, September 28, 1929) is a retired American politician, who served as a Representative from Florida.[1]

Bafalis graduated from Manchester Central High School, Manchester, New Hampshire in 1948, then attended St. Anselm College in neighboring Goffstown until 1952. He was in the United States Army from 1953 to 1956, rising to the rank of captain. He moved to Florida in 1955[2] and after the Army worked as an investment banker.

Bafalis was elected to the Florida House of Representatives in 1964 and then to the Florida state senate in 1966 and 1968. He was an unsuccessful candidate for nomination for Governor of Florida in 1970, but was elected as a Republican to the Ninety-third United States Congress in 1972 and to the four succeeding congresses (January 3, 1973–January 3, 1983).[3]
