. It is essentially a protest song by Mike Pinder against evil tyrannical governments.
"Lost in a Lost World" describes some of the terrors caused by totalitarian governments and the people they affect. In this spirit, the song contains many strong political references, which include "In their eyes, its nation against nation against nation, with racial pride, sad hearts they hide," as well as "Revolution never won, its just another form of gun." Also, as the song progresses, the line "So Many People!" can be heard numerous times underneath the lyrics.
