Aleitheia Bible Church child abuse controversy

In 2006, Lori and her husband Bob donated "approximately $500,000 to $600,000" to start the Aleitheia Bible Church in
the town of Black Earth, Wisconsin. On March 24, 2011, several members of the church, among them, the pastor and his
brother as well as Lori's son Timothy Wick and her daughter-in-law Andrea Wick were arrested on multiple counts of physical child abuse on 12 children, ranging from 2 months of age to 6 years old.
The abuse, administered with rods and dowels, was considered to be a manner of disciplining misbehaving of "overly emotional" children.
Neither the Wicks, who were not directly involved with the church's operation or implicated in the child abuse, nor their publisher Harvest House had any
comments regarding the incidents.
