The 112 is a busy service which serves North Circular Road (A406) in the West. It was introduced in the 1950s and was a very different route from what it is today; it ran from Palmers Green

 to Ealing Broadway, with a very long Sunday only extension to Hampton Court. The Hampton Court section was cut back to Kew Green in the 1950s, and withdrawn completely at the end of the 1950s. The route then ran from Ealing Broadway to Palmers Green. In 1971, the route was cut to Finchley

s started service on the 112. In 1981, it was extended back to its original destination, Palmers Green. In 1987, the Monday-Friday evening and all day Sunday service was withdrawn, and a year later, the 112 was converted to single deckers. In 1994, the route was extended to Wood Green

Severe traffic congestion on the North Circular has caused the route to be progressively shortened, so in 1996, the section between Brent Cross and Palmers Green had been completely withdrawn and replaced by the 232. Since that time, the 112 runs from Ealing Broadway to Brent Cross. In 2000, the Sunday service was re-introduced after a 13 years of absence.

For many years, the route was operated by Stonebridge Park (SE) garage. When the garage closed in 1981, operation was transferred to Cricklewood (W) garage. The route was offered to tender in 1988, when it passed to Atlas Bus at Palmers Green and Willesden
