Starting the 2009-2010 school year the school started a new FIRST Robotics team. In March 2010 they participated in the DC regional and placed 16th out of 59th their rookie year. The team continued into a second year for 2010-2011, even after losing full access to Loch Raven's facilities, through Dulaney High School
